Singing
Classical
I have been training in classical technique for over 20 years.
My repertoire covers works by Bach, Mozart, Handel, Britten, Purcell, Dowland, Schumann and Faure - to name but a few.
I am happy to sing at weddings, christenings, funerals and as soloist for amateur choral groups. Suggested short pieces include:
- Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring, Bach
- Bist du bei mir, Bach
- Alleluia, Mozart
- Ave Maria, settings by various composers including Schubert, Bach-Gounod
- Ave Verum Corpus, Mozart
- Laudate Dominum, Mozart
- Pie Jesu, Faure
- Panis Angelicus, Franck
- I know that my Redeemer liveth, Handel
- O for the wings of a dove, Mendelssohn
- O taste and see, Vaughan Williams
and many others.
I performed works by Puccini, Verdi, Mozart, Rossini and songs by English composers in my debut recital .

Cabaret - jazz, blues and swing
Ella Fitzgerald, Peggy Lee, Shirley Horn, Billie Holliday and many more great ladies of jazz are my inspiration.
Most of my favourite ballads were made famous between the 1930s and 1960s by the likes of Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald and Nat King Cole.
Penned by composers such as Cole Porter, Richard Rodgers, Oscar Hammerstein, George Gershwin and Harold Arlen, these songs remain very popular.
Remember Night and Day, I've Got You Under My Skin, Stormy Weather, Autumn Leaves? Present day balladeers such as Robbie Williams and Bryan Ferry have made nostalgic covers of many of these numbers.
Not that I'm completely lost in time. I also love many of the huge "karaoke" hits: Save the Best for Last, The Wind Beneath Your Wings, I Will Survive, Send in the Clowns, and many more.
